Promotes a positive Guest relations environment as defined by the OGHS service standards.
Ensures HIPAA compliance with hospital visitor policy and protection of patient health information.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Greets patients and receives hospital guests, ascertains their needs and appropriately directs visitors and callers.
Directs Same Day Surgery patients to appropriate nursing unit.
Monitors waiting areas to assist when needed Transports patients to and from the different departments in hospital Responds to concerns and reasonable requests from patients and family members and directs them to appropriate personnel Provides patient with responsible request for non-medical needs.
Effective in resolving patient problems in a timely manner.
Does well at discerning legitimate and serious patient problems and consulting management staff and/or administration Greets all patients promptly and courteously.
Effective in resolving patient problems in a timely manner.
Operates and maintains Admissions front desk when needed.
Annotates fax central during low patient volume times.
Gathers wheelchairs throughout the hospital throughout the day to ensure patients can be accommodated accordingly if needed.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Experience:
Customer service experience required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
